Welcome To India Mini Merc

29 March, 2010

NEW DELHI - Mini Merc sedan Class A from the manufacturer Mercedes-Benz plans to be rolled in India in the next few years. According to Peter Trettin, president and CEO of Daimler, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia, the Class A is positioned as middle-class car with lower price than those others competitor in similar class cars that its sales grew louder.

Although later the prices will be lower than its competitors, but auto analysts believe that the first prices of this Mercedes remain high, it was in the range of 16-20 lakh Rs. Mercedes Benz Parties has introduced this car in India for more than a decade, but they still delay the launch. According to analysts, this is because the Benz is still skeptical about the development of Class A car market in India.

But Mr. Trettin argues that India is a very potential market that the economic growth is very positive for Mercedes car sales. Thus, the Mercedes party would do not hesitant about Mercedes market for Indian because the Indian market knew this kind of car before. Mercedes Benz GL Class is a car that is equivalent to Audi Q7 and BMW X5.

Mr. Aulbur from the Managing Director revealed that Mercedes car market in India will be very potential. This can be seen from the order of Class A car that already booked out until September.

Mr. Tretin revealed that Mercedes markets in Central and Eastern Europe have shown a recovery in sales of their cars. However, it seems there is still little progress since last year a 90% decline in sales. But this does not prevent the Mercedes desire for expansion into India.
