Mitsubishi is very soon all set to hike the price of one of its best SUVs in the Indian market. The Mitsubishi motors India announced recently that the price of the Outlander 2010 will soon see a change from September 1st 2010. The change in price would be in the range of around 1.5 to 2 percent and one of the reasons for the rise in costs is that appreciation of Japanese Yen against the Indian Rupees. The rise in the cost of inputs has also made this step necessary for the company. The cost of imports for the company has risen due to the rising value of Yen and it has become a burden for the company to bear the cost of imports.
Mitsubishi Outlander comes with many advanced features and parts that are imported from Japan and this has impacted the bottom line cost of the company. The current price of outlander is at nineteen lakh and it has sold around 150 Units in July 2010. The order booking of the SUV is actually 300 Units. The month of August will see the 250 units being rolled out in the roads. Bookings till August 31 will make the customer get the car at the old price only.
