After getting huge response in the Indian car market for offering stylish luxurious hatchbacks, Japanese auto major Nissan motors expressed its great desire of expansion plans by offering something more to the Indian car lovers. The leading automobile company, known for some popular hatchbacks like Nissan Micra and Nissan Teana, has revealed its plan to develop diesel engine for Indian auto market. It seems that the rising petrol prices in India not only pricked up the domestic automobile companies, in fact it became major thing of concerned for some international brands as well. The new plan of the Nissan motors is will be executed by the next year.
The company official claimed that the new plan will be executed with the total investment of Rs Rs 4,500 crores.
Sunil Rekhi, who holds the post profile of Chief Finance Officer of Nissan India, revealed, “We have full proof idea to execute our expansion plan that requires Rs 4,500 crores as we have to first set up the diesel plant in India.”
The auto giant has also planned to increase its production capacity for the Indian auto market and also to introduce some more hatchbacks by the coming years. Currently it is offering only two hatchbacks Nissan Micra and Nissan Sunny. However, it has already established its manufacturing plant in at Oragadam where production work of such variants takes place with the association of Renault, a well known automobile company. |

Nissan is already a popular automobile company in the Indian car market, but the new expansion plan will really help the auto giant to make its stand strong in India. Currently, it is popular for its only two hatchbacks; by the coming of new cars the buyers will get a wide choice.

| I have observed a better response of Nissan hatchbacks in the Indian market. Though it has launched only two hatchbacks in the Indian car market, but its immense popularity reflects its specialization of manufacturing reliable car that usefully attracted the Indian buyers. |
